First, I would like to say that I really love my
career and if there is a reason why I change from another career (Public administration) to come to
journalism, it is because I studied a lot the curriculum that the university
had in this case.
I think journalism is a career that demands too much time
both professionally and personally. As for the coverage that must be done if
you work in the media, journalism takes time to get interviews, write notes and
edit audiovisual files.
I think we could change the way of teach in the institute. Maybe, we can write more about our country and study and investigate about importants topics like the migration, the health public or other topics. Speak, read, write and feel the chilean society.
However, I believe that one of the best points that our
faculty has is the infrastructure to study and work in a better way. There are
many computers ready to write, we have a radio studio where we can develop our
skills.
Therefore, the use of technology in this place is very
important, because in the world of work the technologies of the world are being
updated, where getting editing programs or having recording cameras and
photography allow to do a better job.
With regard to teaching methods, I believe that this
university is a good example of what we should do as journalists. The rigor is
a fundamental element to develop with a high level and standard in the
professional field. The evaluations with practical and theoretical works help
put into practice the knowledge we are taught and thanks to that we can be
intellectually prepared for a world where events abound and as journalists we
must be up to the task. The evaluations regarding oral works also believe that
they contribute a lot to the student's development.

I agree with you, this institute have good infrastructure but in topic of bureaucracy is bad, is my point of view :)
